Nova Scotia is encircled by eleven scenic travelways. These scenic travelway routes follow the slower-paced trunk and collector roads that lead you around the province of Nova Scotia. Each travelway describes the culture, history and natural features along the route and is referenced with all the places to stay and things to do in the area.

Clicking on a travelway icon above will link you to an enlarged image of the travelway map with numbers that locate the Destination Liberty Historic Sites listed in the right column on this page.

Some of the destinations listed in the "Destination Liberty" web site are historical sites they are no longer shown on the Nova Scotia Tourism site. Contact us to order "Destination Liberty" brochure whick includes a map where all our historic destinations are listed by number.
